WHAT CONSTITUTES ART THEFT- Recolors of any artist's work, whether from Google, DA, or someone you know.
- Bases - which are pretty much traced, naked versions of existing artist's work.
- Copypasta from Google, Photobucket, or any other image site. (Meaning you saved the image off the site and posted it here as your own.)
- Renders.
- Original artist's work with your text/edits.
- Other artist's work, period. (This includes photos, drawings, writings, ideas, etc.)
- Traces, redraws, screencaps, etc. of another artist's work.
- A piece in which you took an artist's existing work or background and drew something of your own in it, unless you got written permission, in which case is called a "collab".
- Characters or stories taken from another artist/author. (See also Plagiarism. )
- Using/reposting stock images without permission/credit to the artist or photographer.
- Screencaps and scans from comic books/art books/any illustration book.
- Um... More will be added to this as I can think of them. If you know something that I neglected to mention, please, note me or comment me to let me know what you think should be considered art theft. I'll be glad to add it.
- Also, if you feel that you've been the victim of art theft, or have come across someone you suspect is stealing art, either let me know, so I can get help for you, or let the group know.
